PRE TREATMENT CARE
ANTI WRINKLE INJECTIONS
Anti Wrinkle Injections are a prescribed product used to weaken or relax muscles that contribute to skin wrinkles and unwanted facial expressions. It is also used in several medical conditions such as excessive sweating, jaw clenching, chronic muscle tension headaches, belpharospasm and many others.
As it is administered as an injection, it may result in minimal bleeding, temporary bruising, redness and swelling in the area. The product may in rare cases cause temporary drooping of the eyelid or eyebrow.
It takes 4-6 days before the effects begin to show and usually last 4 months but this period can be shorter or longer, after which time, further treatment is appropriate to sustain this effect.
Dermal Fillers are injectable gels used as a temporary dermal filler to restore volume and correct facial lines and folds as a result of ageing and enhance various areas of the face. Made of hyaluronic acid, a natural complex sugar which already exists in the body, Juvederm stabilizes the skin, contributes to the elasticity whilst attracting and binding water. Lidocaine is often incorporated in the gel for improved comfort during the procedure.
Significant improvement can be noted immediately after treatment and lasts for 9 to 24 months (may be longer or shorter) and is naturally degraded by the body. Follow-up treatments are required to maintain these effects.
Risks associated with Dermal Fillers use include temporary redness, swelling, bruising, bumps or pimples that typically resolve within a few days. Very rare cases may include reversible discolouration at the injection sites, infection and granulomas (lumps) and skin necrosis, causing damage to the surrounding skin. However, these occurrences are less than 0.1% if any inflammatory or other reactions last longer than 1 week, please notify us immediately.
Allergies or hypersensitivity to the above mentioned products are extremely uncommon but have been reported.
