Prepares the skin for treatment
For darker skin tones SILK’s Brightening Serum is highly recommended for use two weeks before your first session to ensure a safe and effective treatment. This product is a tyrosinase inhibitor, meaning it prevents the skin from making post-inflammatory hyperpigmentation (a form of pigmentation that can be triggered by heat).
Ensures an effective treatment
To guarantee you are getting the best out of your treatment we advise that you start using your Glycolic and Lactic Scrub 10% 7 days post-treatment. This product is packed with AHA’s (a chemical exfoliation) which gently ‘eats’ the top layer of the skin, and Ocean-friendly Silica granules (a mechanical exfoliation) to buff away the dead skin cells. This product helps prevent ingrown hairs from forming by removing the dead skin and hair out of the follicle, leaving your body silky smooth.
Reduces the chance of an adverse reaction
Redness, itchiness, and irritation are all normal reactions after laser. Each laser pulse holds a lot of energy, so it is important that we get the heat out of the skin as quickly as possible. We do this by using our Holy Grail product, Soothing Gel. Use this for the first three days post-treatment as a moisturiser and deodorant. It uses Peppermint Oil to cool the skin, as well as Calendula, Aloe Vera, and Sage Oil to soothe, hydrate and nourish the skin.
We recommend using our Purifying Skin Cleanser as a replacement for your face and body wash for 3 days post-treatment. It uses gentle, purifying ingredients, such as Aloe Vera, Bilberry, and Canadian Willowherb, to calm the skin and reduce irritation which is common after laser.
Protects the skin
While undergoing your Laser Hair Removal treatments it is essential that you remain mindful of the sun and use an SPF every day. Our Matte Sunscreen SPF 50+ is a broad-spectrum sunscreen that protects against UVA and UVB radiation.
