How does microneedling work?
Microneedling is a minimally invasive treatment that uses a specialised device equipped with 16 tiny needles to create 1920 micro-wounds per second, stimulating your body’s natural healing response. As a result, your skin produces more collagen and elastin, making it firmer, smoother, and more youthful.
Our Australian-made and owned MediPen device penetrates the skin, sending white blood cells rushing to the area, increasing blood flow which then rebuilds and regenerates the damaged area.
Is microneedling just for the face?
No. We can address skin concerns in areas such as the neck, decolletage, back, stomach, breasts, hips and hands to name just a few.
Does it hurt?
During the treatment, you will feel slight pressure as the tip moves across the face. As each area is treated in small sections and the treatment is generally 20 minutes long, most find any discomfort is short-lived and tolerable. Our experienced therapists will regularly check in with you to ensure you are comfortable throughout.
What can I expect afterwards?
Some initial redness will occur as the platelets in the blood respond to the ‘wound’, but with no required downtime, regular work activities can be resumed straight after treatment. You may notice some mild erythema up to 3 days after your treatment – this is normal and shows the treatment is working.
